Juiciest Burger You’ll Ever Eat

In almost 7 years running this food blog I’ve never once posted a recipe for burgers.

How is this possible?

Well you don’t have to worry because I’m here to help you make the best burger of your life!  And I have a few tips to help make that burger go from a hockey puck to amazing.

The first tip to making a memorable burger is in the spices.  Without them the burger can be bland and boring.  There is a nice mix in this recipe.  The cayenne pepper is not overpowering, I urge you to give it a try.

I know the world is very concerned with lean beef and my next sentence may not be my most popular but I choose 75/15 when I am making burgers.  You need the fat in order to get a drip down your arms juicy burger.

It’s just the way it is.

The next tip I have is to make a good EVEN sized patty.  I roll the burger in my hands to form a large meatball and then put it between wax paper.  I lightly press down with my hand and then use a frying pan to flatten it out.

Works great every time!

After they are pressed out I let them rest and come to room temperature for at least 30 minutes.  You can also make them ahead of time and pop them in the fridge if you need to but bringing them to room temperature ensures they cook evenly.

These burgers have been in our family for probably 10 years or more.  They won’t disappoint.
