I am in love!!
L-O-V-E I tell you … with this tea. I can’t get enough of it.
I am an avid fan of Dr. Oz and I love his passion for promoting healthier alternatives and introducing Western society to spices, herbs and foods that are traditionally used in other countries. It was on his show that I’ve heard time and time again about the benefits of turmeric.
According to GreenMedInfo.com, “The ancient Indian spice turmeric strikes again!
A new study finds turmeric extract selectively and safely killing cancer stem
cells in a way that chemo and radiation can not.”
Turmeric has become one of the most researched compounds in history. It’s benefits are extraordinary and if you can find a way to introduce it into your diet, you will not regret it.
So…. I introduce you to ….
Turmeric, Ginger & Honey Tea.
You really have to trust me on this one. I too was a little skeptical, but then I thought to myself “what the heck, it’s worth a try, right?
This is so unbelievably velvety and perfectly balanced. It’s delicious, it’s warm, it’s smells amazing (AFTER it’s done steeping). There is only a hint of the turmeric as you are sipping it.
It will smell MUCH stronger as it’s simmering on the stove though, but don’t worry it mellows as it simmers. Then cinnamon, honey and vanilla are added at the end and it’s creates such a wonderful velvety tea.
PURE HEAVEN! I am addicted to this and it has REPLACED my morning coffee.
This recipe makes 2 one cup servings. I strain the tea into a glass Pyrex measuring cup. I pour myself a cup and then save the remaining cup in the fridge for my night time tea.
